Holding your breath can be dangerous. Do not hold your breath in water what ever the depth, bath, swimming pool any where until you have been taught how to do this safely by some one who knows.
NEVER hold your breath in the water ALONE. This means some one you trust and has been trained needs to be in the water with you and able assist you instantly. Not a life guard 10m away.
